Ipheion “Albert
Castillo”
Very free flowering, vigorous bulb with large white flowers which are
slightly vanilla scented. Here it is not only hardy, but clumps up at
great speed when grown outside. A reasonable sized clump appears to be
covered with an endless succession of flowers. Pot with 3 bulbs.

Iris
tectorum
Very large blue flowers with a hint of mauve. This, as the Iris below,
is a Chinese woodlander. It appreciates plenty of humus in the soil,
and to be grown in semi shade. I grow both Irises in a frost free glasshouse
and have not tried them outside.

lavender flowers, 4” across are carried on a 3’ stem over
a period of a month or more, each flower only lasting a couple of days.
This is the form sold in Europe, and is possibly a hybrid.
