Gladiolus
cardinalis
Vividly coloured South African species. Known as the “waterfall
Gladiolus”, Gladiolus cardinalis is often found growing under waterfalls.
Likes a bit of shade and moisture when in growth. Hardy, bulking up well
and producing plenty of flowers when grown outside. Two or more corms
in a 1L pot.

Gladiolus
tristis
Elegant trumpet shaped flowers of pale yellow with a faint green tinge,
carried on delicate stems emerging from the side of the narrow rush-like
leaves. Gladiolus tristis is hardy and flowers well outside, but it is
only under glass that the fragrant scent given off at night can be enjoyed.

Habranthus
robustus
Very free flowering small bulb, flowers 3½” across, closely
related to Hippeastrum. Habranthus robustus is very easy and flowers

Haemanthus deformis has a large white flower head on an ultra short
